One of my favorite Halloween events to attend in SoCal is Dark Harbor at The Queen Mary. After a three-year hiatus due to Covid, the event returned for the first time in 2024 much to my delight. It came back more thrilling and terrifying this year, so I wanted to share some highlights.

The Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor Hosts Its First Ever Summerween Event

For the first time ever, The Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor presented a special summerween event, Feast: Butcher’s Blackout. It was held this past June on Friday the 13th, a very fitting date for such a blood-soaked affair, with a second date added on June 14th due to an unprecedented response. The creators behind Dark Harbor decided to bring Halloween to the historic ship early this year. Horror and haunt enthusiasts definitely showed up and the attraction sold out both days. I’m a huge fan of Dark Harbor, so there was no way I was going to miss attending opening night.

Dark Harbor Returns to Haunt The Queen Mary

Spooky season 2024 witnesses the return of Dark Harbor aboard the Queen Mary. After a three-year hiatus, the Halloween festival is rising from the grave and is aptly themed, “The Spirits Rise.” Many were excited when the news was announced on April 30th, which is Walpurgis Night and the halfway to Halloween mark. It’s no doubt one of the most highly anticipated events happening this fall.
