For more than a decade, Dilemma has been creating darkly alternative music. It’s a New York-based solo project that was established by producer Alex Elias. The latest EP Becoming Alive was my introduction to his music and it interestingly fuses together various genres that create a cyber gothic nightclub atmosphere. Let’s dive deeper, shall we?

Electronic Rock Band Julien-K Shakes Up The Glass House

It’s been more than a year since I last saw Julien-K, one of my favorite bands, perform live. After completing a summer tour with The Stone Temple Pilots, Bush and The Cult, the group is on the road again on two sets of fall tours. One is with Jonathan Davis (lead vocalist of Korn) and The Birthday Massacre, and the other is also with The Birthday Massacre, plus Ghostfeeder. I attended a concert they did recently in Pomona, California, at The Glass House where they put on an adrenaline-pumping show. Julien-K’s Time Capsule – A Future Retrospective

Julien-K is the electro-rock group spearheaded by former Orgy band members Amir Derakh and Ryan Shuck. They formed in the early 2000s and since then, have made quiet a name for themselves in the underground music scene. With four full-length albums under the band’s belt, they decided to run one of their most ambitious Indiegogo campaigns in 2017 – a four disk cd set featuring a total of more than 60 unheard tracks. As a fan, I was not going to pass up the opportunity to support the project and add this rarity to my audio collection. Continue reading “Julien-K’s Time Capsule – A Future Retrospective”
