Flowers, chocolates and anything and everything heart-shaped blissfully emerge when February 14th rolls around. For lovebirds, it’s all red, pink and sweet for Valentine’s Day, no? Well, for those that have a penchant for dark romance, there’s nothing more amorous than a bouquet of black roses, a moonlit picnic in the cemetery and perhaps even a keepsake in the shape of a real, bloody human heart.

Although I’ve known for a long time that I’m an introvert, I had no idea until recently what that fully entailed. I was aware of my quiet nature, difficulties conversing with people and discomfort socializing. I’ve found it challenging to maintain friendships because I usually pull away when I feel the social commitment is too much for me to handle. But there were other traits about myself that frustrated me that I wasn’t aware were due to my introversion. I’ve gone the majority of my life believing there was something wrong with the way I interacted with people, processed information and spent a lot of time in my head. Best Ways to Keep the Halloween Spirit Alive Year-Round

If you’re like me, you start the countdown to next Halloween once November 1st hits. I absolutely love when fall rolls around, especially when October begins. Both my birthday and favorite holiday happen during this time. Some celebrate All Hallows’ Eve just for the day, some make it a month-long fete.
