Another year has commenced, and you know what that means. It’s time to release my annual Odd & Macabre Events Calendar for 2024! This is always exciting for me to work on as it gives me a teaser of what devilish happenings I can look forward to in the coming months. And I hope it does the same for you, so you can fill your calendar with all sorts of spooky outings.

If you’re new here, allow me to explain the purpose of this page. It’s to be used as a helpful resource for anyone interested in attending events that are related to the worlds of horror, Halloween, alternative subcultures and the macabre in general. Many of these activities occur in Los Angeles because that’s where I’m based, but I don’t want anyone feeling left out, so I do my best to list affairs happening across the U.S. and worldwide. I do as much research as I can and am always open to suggestions. If you know about an event that would fit perfectly on this calendar, just drop your recommendations in the comments. This is a work in progress as new events pop up continuously throughout the year, so bookmark this page so you can easily refer back to it for updates. Here’s to another odd and macabre-filled year!

  1. This is a very useful calendar. I will save it. I saw that you included Screams Halloween Theme Park in Waxahachie, next to where we live and the The Oddities & Curiosities Expo is in Albuquerque just on time for his birthday (he is a student there).

    1. Thank you! I remember you suggested Screams Halloween Theme Park last year, and, of course, I had to keep it on the calendar. And if you all check out the Oddities & Curiosities Expo, you’ll have to let me know what you think.

      1. Thank you for adding Screams and I will certainly tell you about The Oddities & Curiosities Expo if we make it. I should add that rereading my comment I realized that I never said whom I am talking about. It was my younger son, who is studying at the University of New Mexico.

  2. So jealous that you got to see The Boulet Brothers Dragula Titan tour! We saw the season 4 tour and it was incredible. We planned to see the Titans tour too but the tickets had jumped so much in price, it just wanted feasible at that time. What was your favorite part of the live show?

    2. To be honest, it’s hard to choose one favorite part because I was in awe to see each of the performers live. It’s such a different experience compared to seeing them on the small screen. I hope to attend a show for the next tour they have!

    1. That’s a hard one. Midsummer Scream comes to mind first. It’s not on the calendar yet because no dates have been announced yet, but it’s an awesome horror con. And the events happening during spooky season because I love Halloween! That’s not exactly three but those are a few 🙂
