It’s 2023, and one can’t help but marvel at all the upcoming spooky and dark-filled delights the new year has awaiting in the shadows, ready to come forth and lure people in. Vamp Jenn’s Corner has established a tradition around here releasing its annual Odd & Macabre Events Calendar in January. I’ve scoured the beyond to find the most magical experiences slated to happen in the coming months, so you can all set dates and plan outings. Of course, I hope to attend as many of these events as I can as well.
The offerings featured here are taking place in Los Angeles and across the U.S., but I am trying to add events happening internationally too. What follows is what’s been announced thus far, but new activities continue to come up as the year goes on. I also include spooky holidays and special occasions. You forget one, Jenn – posting of the “Odd & Macabre Events” list in early January. I really look forward to this event each year!
Regarding everything else, and as always, the Oddities and Curiosities Expo always strikes my fancy. So, is Anaheim big enough for both curiosities and Mickey? Not that he isn’t Curiosity #1 already, so to speak.
Also, I have to see if anything happens on my birthday… Darn! I just miss Occult Day. Just two spaces on the calendar. It’s gonna be close.
Well, thanks for all the research and the facts it yields. This achievement is especially impressive, as you work past two obstacles, introversion and more so, California events still being relatively constrained.

I’m glad you enjoy my annual calendar. I have just as much fun putting it together. When is your birthday, by the way? You mentioned it’s around Occult Day, so it’s in November. You can have an occult-themed birthday party 🙂

November 20.
The occult’s far too vast and fascinating for just one party, actually. I mean, look at you, Jenn. You fill year after year with it. How many lives?

Awesome list! (I remember when the Castle first opened. *wry laugh*) And I had it written down in my planner, but I forgot to include Introvert Day in my post, so it’s good to see it on the blogread rounds! Cheers to my kindred spirit introverts out there! Black cats (and bats!) rock! #adoptdontshop

That is a great list. Would the Screams Halloween Park in Waxahachie, Texas be something for your list. It is open every weekend Friday/Saturday during October and perhaps at the end of September if there is a weekend at the end of September. https://screamspark.com/
